    The Chetek Gang at The Heyde Center

    It must be something in the water. Chetek, Wisconsin is home to some of the best and most eclectic artists in western Wisconsin. This exhibit will feature the work of four Chetek-based artists. No cost for admission. Artwork will be available for sale.

    Northern Saw-whet Owl Banding Training at Beaver Creek Reserve

    A two day workshop will be held at Beaver Creek Reserve to provide volunteers with the knowledge and training to participate in the Northern Saw-whet Owl banding program. There are various opportunities for volunteers to find the role they are most comfortable participating in. The Owl Banding program begins the last week of September and continues into early November. Banding occurs several nights a week from 7pm until approximately 1 am. The Owl Banding Crew will be looking for new volunteers to commit to a minimum of one night a week throughout the banding season.

    Ladies Evening Extravaganza

    The 11th annual Ladies Evening Extravaganza is held at the Heyde Center! There will be local wines, dinner by LiveGreat Catering, MC Judy Clark, Leinenkugel's Beer, and raffles & prizes! All proceeds benefit the Family Support Center. Doors open at 5:30PM, must be 21 years of age to attend!

    Tickets are $45 in advance. Early bird drawing deadline is July 20th. Register a table of 8 to be entered  in a drawing!

    Comedy Night: Michael Harrison at Bye the Willow

    Utilizing a smart, honest, and silly observational style, Michael Harrison has been one of the busiest standup comedians in North America for a good reason. Whether it’s a college, corporate, church, comedy club, cruise ship or bar, Michael’s diverse act delivers a show that leaves his audiences craving more. Besides touring extensively, Michael has also found time to develop a solid acting resume with appearances on MTV’s Video on Trial, NBC’s The Bridge, Queer as Folk, the TBS movie The Jazzman and as a co-host on E- West. Michael’s comedic talent has also earned him his own nationally televised half-hour comedy special. Avid radio listeners may have also heard him on the popular Bob and Tom radio program or on Sirius XM, where he is in constant rotation. Michael has also been featured in several prestigious comedy festivals including Just for Laughs, Laugh Fest, and the LOL Sudbury Comedy festival. Charming, likeable and laugh out loud funny, Michael Harrison is one act you don’t want to miss!

    Doors open at 7 pm and the show beings at 8 pm! Tickets are $10 in advance (presale ends at 6 pm on 9/20) and $15 at the door the night of the event.

    Wisconsin Brass Quintet

    7:30pm at the Heyde Center for the Arts- 3 S High St, Chippewa Falls

    Regarded as one of the “superb brass ensembles in the USA” (Musicweb International) and praised for “remarkable musicianship and versatility” (International Trumpet Guild Journal), the widely acclaimed Wisconsin Brass Quintet has maintained a position at the forefront of brass chamber music since the group’s founding in 1972. In addition to its regular concert series on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Quintet performs extensively throughout the Midwest and nationally, including appearances in New York at Weill Recital Hall and Merkin Concert Hall.

    Yata & Sinz bring an unexpected and masterful mashup of folk, blues and jazz. Veteran musicians – Yata (guitar/voice), and Randy Sinz (bass/voice) combine their songwriting and performing skills, presenting a musically powerful and entertaining performance.

    They bring humor, and pathos to their show with musical expertise and passion. Along with Sue Orfield, they have recently released their first CD, Dancing in the Light, featuring 12 beautiful, original songs.

    They will have wine, cheese and snacks available for purchase, so come, relax and enjoy.

    The History of Rock n’ Roll- Johnny Rogers Band

    From Branson to Europe to Las Vegas, Rock 'n' Roll showman Johnny Rogers will transport you back to a time when you went to your favorite malt shops and danced to your favorite bands. The Show is a tribute to the musical legends of Rock n’ Roll. It starts with Johnny’s uncanny portrayal of the late Buddy Holly, then goes on to pay tribute to the legendary Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ricky Nelson, Chuck Berry, and many more. The show will climax with Johnny’s portrayal of the late Elvis Presley. This show is a crowd-favorite and appeals to just about everyone.
