    Valley Art Gallery - Featured Artists for May and June

    Stop downtown in Chippewa Falls and check out the area’s newest gallery and gifts store, the Valley Art Gallery, located at 304 N. Bridge Street across from Mason Shoe. Thirteen local artists display at the gallery and have art available for sale. Check out the variety of classes that are also being offered.

    Jean Arneson and Lynne Maslowski will be the featured artists for the months of May and June.  A reception showcasing their art will be on Saturday, May 18th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Their beautiful art includes original oil paintings, prints and cards of local scenes, (with many of Irvine Park) and unique jewelry made with artist beads, precious metals and leather.

    Enjoy some refreshments and light snacks while visiting with these talented artists. They look forward to seeing you!

    Irvine Park Native Wildflower Sanctuary Guided Tour

    Join members of the Lake Wissota Garden Club for a guided tour. Club members will point out and identify the native wildflowers currently in bloom. Meet at the sanctuary sign/parking lot just south of the duck pond. Guided tours are held the second Saturday of the month, May through September.

    Music in the Park

    Join us for the 4th Annual 2019 Music in the Park from 6-7pm at Irvine Park bandshell. Tonight it will be Jazz, Rock and Pop, featuring the Chippewa Falls Community Band. Donations will be taken to benefit the Chippewa Falls Veterans' Home and the Greenhalgh Memorial Music Endowment. Tuesday evenings in June.

    Chill on the Hill

    As a part of its commitment to involve youth in arts and cultural activities, the CVCA/Heyde Center provides an early introduction of children to the arts and culture through offering fort-five minute presentations of various arts/cultural activities at the Heyde Center during Tuesday's in the summer. The target group is 4-10 years of age. There is no cost to participate. Reservations not required, but they appreciate notification is bringing a large group.

    Northwoods Blues Festival

    This soulful festival was voted one of the top five Best New Festivals in the nation in 2015 and hasn’t lost traction since. This year, acts such as Savoy Brown and Joanna Connor will be showcasing their talents with the beautiful Chippewa River as their backdrop in Chippewa Riverfront. Once the festival closes down each night, fans are invited to check out the after glow at Loopy’s Grill and Saloon at 11:30 PM where live music and festivities continue until 1:00 AM. As if you needed any more reason to attend, fans will be happy to hear that there is a free shuttle doing a loop between area hotels, local campgrounds, and festival grounds from 11:00 AM until the conclusion of the after party.

    Live Music with Songa at Autumn Harvest Winery & Orchard

    Join Autumn Harvest on Saturday, June 22 for an afternoon of live music from 2:00-5:00 p.m. with Songa!

    Songa, an acoustic duo featuring Mario and Sherry Friedel, rooted in the Nashville songwriting tradition, producing original Latin and contemporary Americana music. In Songa, you will hear the eclectic American influences of jazz, blues, Latino, folk and bluegrass, instrumentally woven together with acoustic guitars, ukulele, percussion, harmonica, and prominent vocal harmonies.

    They will have wine, cheese, and snacks available for purchase, so come, relax, and enjoy.

    Feel free to bring a chair to this outdoor event.

    No beverage carry-in allowed.
