    Book In The Barn

    Head on over to Marieke Gouda every Wednesday through August for Book In The Barn. Kids have the chance to be read to on hay bales in the barn, and if you would like, see how cheese is made. Registration is at 11:30, cost is five dollars which includes a grilled cheese, applesauce, fries, and milk.

    at Carson Park in EC, The 34th  Annual Festival in the Pines features more than 200 arts and crafts exhibitors. Motorcycle show on Saturday, Classic car show on Sunday. Family entertainment.  Admission is $6, Seniors (62+) $5, Children 11 and under are free.Saturday 9am-6pm, Sunday 9am-4pm.

    Chippewa River Rendezvous

    Bringing the past into the present with pre-1840 fur trading-Civil War camps. At Mill Yard park in Cornell.  Visit with historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln, General Ulysses Grant, Scottish Clan group from the 16th century. Period games and historical demos.  Large flea market.  Prizes, drawings and silent auction both days, free bike raffles both days.  Event is free to all.     The Eau Claire 4-H Dog Project is hosting the 2016 State Dog Agility Show on August 27 at the Lake Hallie Smartie Paws Center. Agility Judging begins at 9 am. Spectators welcome.

    Jurassic Quest

    Saturday, Aug 27 and Sunday, Aug 28 at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair Grounds experience the largest exhibition of lifesize, moving, museum-quality dinosaurs in North America! Jurassic Quest brings you a Dinosaur Adventure for the whole family. The main dinosaur exhibit features ultra-realistic, life-size animatronic dinosaurs; Over 50 life-size dinosaurs in all. Visitors can interact with these huge creatures, learn about them and even ride a few. It features realistic scenes, enormous dinosaurs, cute baby dinosaurs and lots of fun activities for kids of all ages. There are huge T-Rex and Triceratops fossil digs where young paleontologists can uncover long hidden dinosaurs bones, the “Dino Bounce” area with several, towering, dinosaur theme inflatable mazes, face painting, Dino crafts and much more!

    The View on Lake Wissota 17779 County Highway X, Chippewa Falls. 2 p.m to 5 p.m. Nick Foytik plays the blues with strong traditional roots. His style has a vibrant rhythm section, taking it to a new electrified level. You can hear influences from the old Delta masters, early electric blues musicians, a bit of rock n’ roll, jazz, funk, and sacred steel.

    Join Happy Tails Dog Park and Area Dog Lovers for a fun evening of swimming at the Bernard F. Willi Community Pool across from Irvine Park (1 Bridgewater Ave, Chippewa Falls)! From 4pm-7pm both days, $5 per dog and rabies vaccination is required. Give your dog a chance to cool off and splash around in the water!
