Lake Wissota is a 6148 acre man-made lake located in Chippewa Falls and has a maximum depth of 64.4 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings, a public beach and public lands or parks. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Sturgeon and Catfish. The lake's water clarity is low. Fish: Walleye (Abundant), Musky (Common), Smallmouth Bass (Common), Northern Pike (Common), Catfish (Common), Panfish (Present), Largemouth Bass (Present), Sturgeon (Present). Numerous local and national fishing tournaments have been held there, including the annual JIG'S UP Blugold Ice Fishing Contest, 2005's ESPN Elite 50 Tournament and 2009's FLW Outdoors Walleye League Championships.
