      Gentle Yoga

      This seven-week yoga session will introduce many poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation practices. The class is led by Karen Wise at the Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek. The cost is $10 at the door for members and $12 for nonmembers. The class is every Monday from January 9 through March 27 from 6:00pm to 7:15pm.

      Tree and Shrub ID in Winter

      Winter offers a special time to appreciate trees and shrubs in a totally different way. This program will point out unique bud and bark characteristics of many of our native trees and shrubs, making identification of them possible even in winter! A power-point and a hands-on session inside will be followed by an outdoor hike around the Reserve to apply what you learned inside. Some easy tips and a simple winter tree and bark key will be provided for participants to take home. Bring warm clothes and boots along for the outdoor portion of the program. The course is held at Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek and goes from 9:30am until noon. Must register by January 23rd.

      Chippewa Falls Bernard F. Willi Municipal Pool

      June 4 through August 21, 2016 Chippewa Falls Bernard F. Willi Municipal Pool will be open. Located across from Irvine Park this public outdoor pool has a zero depth area with small fountains and dumping buckets for younger children and a deeper area, reaching a maximum depth of 5 feet, and a 256 ft. linear slide that empties into the pool. There is a minimal entrance fee per person to help maintain the pool. You will find it to be a great place to swim on a hot summer day. Hours: M-F 12-6, Sa/ Su 1-6pm 715-726-2733 in season.

      Irvine Park Petting Zoo

      Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day Weekend Daily 10am-6pm. The Petting Zoo has a variety of friendly farm animals including: pigs, goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, baby chicks, a pony, and an iguana. Kids are invited to explore the Petting Zoo and learn about the animals through touch and play. Admission to the petting zoo is free but donations are appreciated.Irvine Park summer hours will be 7:00am to dark. Irvine Park offers a variety of activities and sports for people of all ages. There are horseshoe pits, picnic grounds, hiking trails, playgrounds, bird watching, and a sand volleyball court.
