      10-5, Fri 10-4 Chippewa Valley Cultural Association, Inc. / Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 South High Street, Chippewa Falls.Artist Reception: Thursday, June 15 from 5:00   7:00 p.m.
      Susan Phelps-Pearson's work utilizes a multitude of different techniques from traditional painting to large-scale assemblages. For this retrospective, Pearson has selected 80 pieces of art to reflect and celebrate her eighty years as an artist. No cost for admission.

      U-Pick Strawberry Picking

      Mac's Strawberry Patch is open for picking from 6:00am - 6:00pm.

      They have 8 acres of both u-pick strawberries, pea pods, and rhubarb available. They also have pre-picked strawberries, call 715-568-5526 for pricing and to place an order.

      They charge $1.45/lb and have 5 quart pales of pre-picked strawberries at the farm for $14.

      They will be at the Bloomer Post office a few times a week between 9:00-9:30am wil pails for $15.

      Directions:

      From Chippewa/Eau Claire: Hwy 53 North to Tilden exit make a right onto Cty Hwy B. Turn Left on Cty Hwy Q, 2.4 miles to the left on 130th Ave. Turn Left just after the Chippewa Country public shooting range.

      Kids Craft

      Kids ages 4-14 can drop in the 3rd Wednesday of the summer months to make and take an art project.

      It will be from 1:00 - 3:00PM

      This annual four-day event features more thank 20 national and regional country music artists.Past performers include Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Gary Allan, and Jason Aldean.

      FATFAR

      FATFAR (Frenchtown Annual Tube Float & Regatta) is the world’s largest one-day tubing event starts at noon and you can join the fun and float down the Chippewa River. Loopy’s will have food and entertainment all day, along with tube rentals. Must be 21 to participate. For information call 715-723-5667.

      Dinner Theater at the Heyde Center for the Arts

      On June 26th the Heyde Center for the Arts will be presenting "Ole and Lena Win a Cruise." This hilarious play follows a husband and wife who have two completely different ideas of a romantic vacation. See the performace and find out if Lena will finally be able to convice Ole to go on a romantic cruise with her or if the pair will spend another vacation camping just two miles from their farm. For dinner, Karl’s Bar-B-Que Express will be preparing his Summer Bar-b-que Special: Grilled Chicken and Mesquite Pulled Pork, Baby Red Potatoes, Cowboy Beans, Coleslaw, and small Dessert. Cost: Adults: $32, Seniors: $31, Youth: $25. Group discounts are available.

      Yoga with the Winemaker

      Did you know River Bend’s owner and winemaker Donna is also a yoga instructor? 

      Join Donna on May 22nd for their first Yoga in the Vineyard event. 

      Time:    Registration 5:00 – 5:30pm

                   Yoga 5:30 – 6:30 pm

                   Wine tasting and social hour 6:30 – 7:30 pm

      Cost:    $20 includes yoga class, wine tasting, and one glass of wine per participant (the class is limited to 20 participants)

      You must be 21 or older to participate in this event, and you must bring your own yoga mat.

      Summer Dinner and Music: Barbaque and John Denver

      The music of John Denver is timeless and well known. Layne Yost's tribute to the music of John Denver is a faithful tribute that pays homage to the music and the man. It is a wonderful show that will take you back, and remind you of simple things that remain ture.

      • $25 for Youth
