      Savoring the Arts is the major annual fundraising and social event for CVCA/Heyde Center for the Arts.  It is an opportunity to provide our supporters with a delightful social evening, developing and nurturing relationships plus making new friends, all while raising much-needed funds for special needs and ongoing expenses. This year's theme is Hollywood Awards/Oscar Night.

      HOSA's Run For Hope for suicide prevention. A 5k and 2 mile to raise money for Prevent Suicide Wisconsin and spread community awareness of a very important issue.

      54th Annual Spring Art Show

      M-Thurs 10-5, Fri 10-4, SAT Noon-4pm, SUN Noon-4pm at the Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 South High Street, Chippewa Falls

      The Chippewa Herald along with the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association/Heyde Center for the Arts will again be hosting the 54th Annual Spring Art show. Nearly 100 local artists - old and young, novice and experienced - submit their two and three-dimensional art works each year to this community exhibit. The exhibition includes original paintings, sculptures, photos, stained glass, mosaics, ceramics, other creative art forms, demonstrations, and cash awards. There is no charge to the public for this exhibit, but donations are appreciated to help keep this exceptional gallery space available to the community. Registration opens January 25, 2018 and closes March 9th at 4:00 p.m.

      Barynya - Russian Dance Group

      2pm at the Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 South High Street, Chippewa Falls

      The world renowned Russian music, dance, and song group, Barynya is the premier Russian folk ensemble touring the US today. They have performed at Carnegie Hall, The National Constitution Center, The Smithsonian, and the United Nations just to name a few. They will perform traditional Russian, Cossack, Ukrainian, and Gypsy Roma dancing, songs, and virtuoso performances on several traditional Russian instruments. Every routine is performed in beautiful hand-made costumes from the region and era of the performance, and an explanation will be given to the audience on the significance and cultural uniqueness of each. Admission: Adults $10, Seniors $9, Youth $5, Group (4 people) $25

      Live Music: Jorgensen Tagg at the Sheeley House Saloon

      8:30pm- 11:30pm at the Sheeley House Saloon- 236 W. River St, Chippewa Falls

      The two troubadours teamed up to record Brianna’s debut album “Wandering” with Kurt acting as producer and arranger for Brianna’s multi-instrumentalist talents. It did not take long for the pair to team up as songwriters and performers to form Jorgensen Tagg. The sound is powerful and undeniably fresh, taking root in rock, blues, pop, and soul and a southern kissed classic rock sound. The two performers are fast making an indelible mark on the Local and national music scene.

      Kurt Jorgensen is the long time band leader of the Kurt Jorgensen Band, releasing eight albums to date and receiving the praise of fans and critics alike. The Minnesota Music Awards has presented Kurt with singer of the year, entertainer of the year, songwriter of the year album of the year and song of the year.

      Brianna Tagg has toured nationwide and has also performed multiple times at South by Southwest, impressing industry luminaries and fans. Jorgensen Tagg performs as a duo and as 7 piece band.

      Downtown Earth Day Cleanup

      9am at Harmony Courtyard- 219 N. Bridge St, Chippewa Falls

      Join Chippewa Falls Main Street and over 150 of our awesome volunteers as we clean up our downtown! We pick up trash all the way from the riverfront to Cedar Street, so we need and appreciate all the help we can get at the Downtown Earth Day Cleanup. Register or check in at Harmony Courtyard (located on the 200 block of N. Bridge Street). All supplies will be provided for the cleanup.

      Central Lutheran Church also provides a free breakfast before the cleanup at 28 E. Columbia St. for volunteers and the community.

      Jeremy Danley: Just in case you're not familiar with Jeremy JER-DOG Danley, he has been fired from over 20 real jobs, kicked out of college, and once thrown off THE BOB & TOM SHOW! He uses characters, voices, and sound effects as he talks about the ridiculous stuff that can happen when you try to be a stay-at-home-dad, family man, and a full-time party animal comedian.
