Chill on the Hill
As a part of its commitment to involve youth in arts and cultural activities, the CVCA/Heyde Center provides an early introduction of children to the arts and culture through offering fort-five minute presentations of various arts/cultural activities at the Heyde Center during Tuesday's in the summer. The target group is 4-10 years of age. There is no cost to participate. Reservations not required, but they appreciate notification is bringing a large group.

Artist Reception: Thursday, July 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Several months ago Deb Johnson, Heyde Center director, and Allan Servoss, nationally-recognized local artist, met to discuss the possibility of putting together a new visual arts exhibit at the Heyde Center. A theme was agreed upon and sixteen artists agreed to be a part of “EBB AND FLOW-WATER.” The participating artists, a mix of some of the most recognized local artists and some new to the area, will produce new works in two and three dimensional media for the exhibit. Artists participating include: Hope Greene, Lori Chilefone, Steve Immerman, Joe Maurer, Kay Brathol-Hostvet, Bruce Warren, Tiit Raid, Maureen Skroski, Sue Phelps Pearson, Tim Brudnicki, David Caradori, Dan Ingersoll, Jenna Ruder, Ned Gannon, Jeanne Roberts, and Denise Presnell.

To kick off the weekend, celebrate all that is new and exciting in the Chippewa Valley with The Swampers! Amanda Tanzer Schafer, Rob Kuchta, Judy Brist, Tim Danielson, Kathy Danielson, & Jerry Way sing and play original Swampgrass ballads interspersed with stories of the uniqueness of our region. The Eau Claire Children's Theater will help you do just that...learn the ins and outs of producing a live theater production from start to finish. This year's play is The Jungle Book. Chippewa Falls, The Dementia Coalition of Chippewa County, along with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Chippewa County, will hold their 3rd Annual Bridging Memories Event on Thursday, August 22nd, 2019, at Kamp Kenwood on Lake Wissota.
Bridging Memories is for people living with dementia and their family members. The event is from 10:00am until 2:30pm, and includes assorted activities for all ages including pontoon rides, nature walks, photo booth, free lunch and more.
The event’s focus is for people living with dementia and their family members to find joy and humor in their dementia journey by bridging memories together, and enjoy a fun and relaxing day. The day’s guest speaker is Jim Adams, author of Other Me’s.
There is no cost for the event; however, registration is required by calling the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Chippewa County at (715) 726-7777.
