      Valley Art Association – Annual Member Exhibit/Show

      No cost for admission to the exhibit. There will be artwork available for sale. Artists' Reception and Show Opening: Thursday, November 2 from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m.

      The theme of the exhibit is "Happy Accidents,"  which is defined as focusing on art planned one way and for some reason the finished piece was different than what had been originally envisioned.

      Hunter's Stag Party at Knights of Columbus

      The Chippewa Falls Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 will be holding their annual Knights of Columbus Hunters Stag  Wed. Nov. 8th At the Chippewa Falls KC Hall 236 Pumphouse Rd. serving delicious Hunter's Stew with Cole slaw, Deacon Dan Ryder’s bread and free refreshments from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. There will be raffles for prizes throughout the event including main prizes, a Remington 870 12 ga shotgun, a Mossberg 270 bolt action rifle, a Savage .22 rifle and cash prizes. Tickets are $10.00 at the door or from a KC member. That entitles the purchaser to Hunter's Stew Dinner with refreshments and participation in the main prize drawings. (Need Not Be Present to Win the Raffle Prizes.)

      Bill Engvall

      Bill Engvall is a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling recording artist and one of the top comedians in the country. Most recently, Bill was a contestant on season 17 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and as a fan favorite, he made it to the finals. Bill lent his voice to the animated comedy series Bounty Hunters, which aired on CMT. He previously starred in, and executive produced, the TBS sitcom The Bill Engvall Show. Bill was part of the enormously successful Blue Collar Comedy concert films, which sold over nine million units and received a Grammy nomination.

       

      There will be two shows on 11/10/17, one from 7 to 9 pm, and the other from 9:30 to 11:30pm.

      Northwinds British Brass Band - Holiday Concert

      Description:

      The Northwinds British Brass Band Holiday Concert will feature festive and joyous music of the season.  We are pleased to announce that the amazing and talented Bill Simon of Eau Claire has generously arranged a fun rendition of “Frosty the Snowman” for our group. This year’s concert will cover a wide range of styles from rock, jazz, pop, and orchestral fanfares to lullabies, and hymn tunes.  Some of the literature included in the concert will be Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” an entertaining arrangement of “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” an arrangement of F. Melius Christiansen’s “Lullaby on Christmas Eve,”

      “Fantasy of the Bells” based on the Ukrainian Bell Carol, the ever popular “Deck the Halls,” and “Christmas Triptych” bringing the listener settings of “Westminster Carol’” “Joy to the World,”

      “Silent Night,” “Coventry Carol,” and “Good King Wenceslas.”

      Fused Glass Pendant Class

      Wednesday, November 29 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
      Jewelry is a wonderful way of showing the world who you are – and sporting jewelry you’ve made yourself is even better. Watch how creative you can get using different colors of glass fused together into a unique necklace pendant in this class by Ann Manor. During this two-hour class, you will create your own portable work of art, then come back approximately a week later to pick up your fused creation. Ann Manor is an art specialist at the Chippewa Falls School District and has her own art studio. All materials provided along with a complimentary beverage and snacks. Class size is limited to 12 people. Cost $45/person.
