MEMOIR WRITING: A Six Session Workshop at the Heyde Center for the Arts
This is a six session workshop; every Saturday from September 28 - November 2.
This workshop is a must for anyone interested in writing, even beginners. The instructors will provide encouragement, guidance, and practice in “life writing” in the following genres: autobiographies, blogs, family histories, journals, memoirs, and personal essays. Discover the pleasure and rewards of lifelong writing for lifelong learners. All Supplies provided.

In Capable Hands at The Heyde Center
As a sort of present-day vaudeville act, Steve Russell and Kobi Shaw of In Capable Hands weave top-notch technique and quick-witted banter creating a show of genuine hilarity filled with flying pizzas, juggled canned meat, pink flamingos, vanishing bananas, impaled potatoes, and music played by pounding their heads. Best seen to be understood, they leave the audience begging for more. Always great fun, this act is appropriate for and appreciated by audiences of all ages.

Laverne and Lucy at The Heyde Center
Laverne and Lucy will bring their side-splitting comedy, lively music and laugh-out-loud improvisation to Chippewa Falls. Their engaging concert is a mix of fun-time rock and roll, bluegrass, novelties and more. Each high-energy show will take you on an enlivening jaunt - sharing skits, new comedy ditties as well as their take on everyone’s favorite songs. These two talented women have been on the professional stage since their teens and their love of entertaining shines through each production. Although created for adult audiences, Laverne and Lucy’s witty and winsome repartee is good, clean fun for all ages. Add excellent musicianship along with a beautiful blend of their voices, and you’ve got a memorable event full of variety, audience interplay and lots of laughter!

Stefan Geisinger Band at The Heyde Center
Stefan Geisinger was first introduced to the blues at the age of 17 after hearing Kenny Wayne Shepherds album "Ledbetter Heights." After that he dug deep into the roots of blues music, listening to blues musicians like Lightning Hopkins, Elmore James, Howling Wolf, and Muddy Waters. Born in Rice Lake WI, Stefan started his first blues band by the age of 23. After performing the blues for eight years, he created the Stefan Geisinger Band, which includes Buck Barrickman and Travis Nicolai. Buck has been playing the bass guitar since the 70s and was the leader of the local band, The Pumps. Travis has been playing the drums since high school, studied jazz at UW-River Falls and LOVES to perform. The Stefan Geisinger Band plays some original tunes along with recognizable covers from blues guitar greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Hendrix, Howling Wolf, and many more.
